Location
Great Billing Pocket Park occupies a rectangular piece of land on the eastern side of Great Billing Village approx. 5.6 km from Northampton town centre. The site is approx 205 m x 55 m covering 1.17 hectare (2.89acres)- Grid Reference SP 812632.

Surrounding Land Use
The western boundary of the Park abuts the parish recreation field for most of its length. The northern section of the western boundary adjoins a housing development, which has been established for about 20 Years.  The A 4500 and Great Billing Way form the northern and eastern boundaries. To the south the footpath from Great Billing village to the Ecton Brook housing estate separates the Park from another housing development.

Access
Vehicular and pedestrian access to the playing field and pavilion is via a tarmac lane from Penfold Lane in Great Billing and there is a car park for around 50 cars.  This lane forms part of ‘Ridge Walk’, a footpath which links the estates to the East and West of the Park.   

Access to the Pocket Park is through the recreation field boundary via an all weather path, which is reached from the public footpath (Ridge Way). This access is pedestrian only but vehicular access is possible with permission from the Parish Council.  A stile has been put into the northern end of the eastern boundary leading to steps up to the roundabout with the A4500 and Great Billing Way.  A stile has also been put into the fence at the eastern end of the southern boundary fence with further set of steps to the tarmac Ridge Way footpath from Great Billing to Ecton Brook.
